ConnecTeens

The ConnecTeens Program offers teenage students the opportunity to perform meaningful community services within our parish, providing an outlet for them to give back to those in need. Through volunteering, students can experience the fulfillment that comes with helping others and create lifelong memories.

School Uniforms

We work with school guidance counselors to provide uniforms for each school. Our efficient process ensures that uniform requests are often fulfilled on the same day. Our commitment is to ensure that every student has the necessary supplies to achieve academic success.

School Tools

Each year in July we set aside a weekend to collect school supplies from residents and local businesses. The supplies are counted, sorted, and packed, labeled and ready for “pick-up” by representatives from each school. With the help of Ascension Parish teachers, counselors and administration, the program has evolved into a highly efficient, “well-oiled machine”.

Special Tuesday

Special Tuesday is a program that was created almost 30 years ago by founder, Bobbie Blanchard. The first 4 Tuesdays of every summer is spent giving to the special needs individuals of our community. We meet at Gonzales Primary for an awesome day of food, games, and fun. The last Tuesday of our summer fun ends with a very special “Mardi Gras” parade for our participants.

Be the change you want to see in our community

Volunteer Ascension takes a one-on-one approach to volunteering: help people and make a difference one person at a time. By focusing on this principle, we're able to form lifelong relationships with those we serve. We believe in partnering alongside individuals and walking with them through their most challenging and trying times. By doing so, we're able to create meaningful and lasting change in our community.
